I Play the Violin

I started when I was 6.

I'm in the folk & roll band, Midwest.

My violin was once stolen.

I'm a member of the Chicago Sinfonietta and have played with the Joffrey Ballet for 9 seasons. I've also played with Arnie Roth's Chicagoland Pops Orchestra (including Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY), and the Bugs Bunny Symphony Orchestra.

I've had the good fortune to have worked with an amazing array of musicians, including Mel Torme, Smokey Robinson, Johnny Frigo & Joe Vito, Marian McPartland, Michael Feinstein, Dennis DeYoung (of Styx!), Susan Boyle (on Oprah!), James Earl Jones, Michael Tree (of the Guarneri Quartet), Andrea Boccelli, Tributosaurus, Celtic Woman, and Johnny Mathis.

I've also played great gospel music (with some great gospel artists) many a Christmas and Easter at The Apostolic Church of God.

I studied with Myron Kartman at Northwestern University. Other teachers include Blair Milton, Russell Guyver, and Laura Lindemuth.

In the summers growing up, I studied at the Alaska Fine Arts Camp at King's Lake, Interlochen Arts Camp, and the Alfred University Summer Chamber Music Institute.
