Someone’s gotta pick up the slack around here while Dave is off “playing his violin.”

First off, it should be mentioned at least once more that most of these photos (about 99%) were done by Mr. Neal Grofman, who was johnny-on -the-spot any time an actor needed a cup of water, a terrible joke, or some scathing criticism. But honestly, I think they’re amazing photos, representing not just Neal’s incredible eye, but the vast sum of talent which existed in our crew.

Our directors proved to be decently competent as well, as is evidenced by the following montage, masterfully pieced together by the venerable Jeff McHale. I hope you enjoy it. Eye certainly had the time of my life working on it.

As Megan Keach noted, it’s like having a really great opening night for a play, including a party with all your friends, and then showing up the next day for a matinee.

However, we shot the most scenes of any single day (7) which is a big deal. Tim was a star, running all over the place to satisfy the various whims of the various directors. Megan, Allan and MT all got to kiss Jeanene. Errol deftly juggled directions from 14 different people without walking out in bafflement. And I finally, finally got to slate.

Her name is Django (after the great Django Reinhardt). While we were shooting last weekend, Django was staying with MT’s cousin. One night, she went after a tom-cat in the backyard and ended up with a nasty gash down her chest. We’re happy to report that she’s recuperating well, and enjoying the extra corned beef. We were also very happy that MT’s uncle George was able to join us for Thanksgiving dinner. He spent the last month in the hospital after suffering a heart attack, and was looking forward to enjoying a Manhattan and some strawberry pie with the family.
